About this place
Step down the stairs of a building along Kagurazaka-dori, and an expansive basement dining room opens up before you. The centerpiece of Craft Beer Server Land is the bank of taps lining the wall, pouring a wide range of Japanese craft beers. From Kyoto Brewing pale ales, Ise Kadoya, and Baird IPAs to custom collaboration brews, distinctive options rotate across the chalkboards and printed menus daily. Whether you crave a crisp Weizen or a roasty, full-bodied stout, comparing pours to match your mood is the main draw here.
The food menu is crafted specifically to complement what is in your glass. Conger eel fish and chips, fried in a light, airy craft beer batter, is a signature order prized for its savory crunch. The kitchen also turns out a sampler of house-made bacon and corned beef, bubbling shrimp and whitebait ajillo served with baguette, and cheese-baked chili potatoes, bridging quick small bites and hearty meat plates.
Seating includes both tap-facing counter spots and tables, making the space equally handy for a solo pint before moving on or a relaxed toast among friends. Open from 12:00 on weekends and from late afternoon until 24:00 on weekdays, it fits easily into an afternoon stroll through Kagurazaka or an unhurried stop after work.
